I grew up on the South Side of Chicago (near 18th and Halsted), we had a family friend with a cabin just outside Wisconsin Dells. As a Child we used to go there and enjoy all of the attractions that the Dells had to offer (which wasn’t much back then). But we

had a great time in and around the cabin. It was nice to just enjoy the surroundings of the cabin. As I grew up I spent a lot of time at the dells, as an older teenager I would go every memorial day and labor day. It was a great time to start spring off with a bang in the Dells during Memorial day weekend, and to say goodbye to summer during Labor Day weekend. I continued the tradition of visiting Wisconsin Dells with my growing family. I found a gentleman that had a cabin at Christmas Mountain in Wisconsin Dells. I rented cabins from Bruce for years, my family and I always having so much fun and creating memories to last a lifetime. Sorry to say as the years went on, and Bruce had passed. If you don’t know much about the Wisconsin Dells area, let me explain:

But there’s another side to the Wisconsin Dells, the quiet softer side that I fell in love with, staying at My Friend’s Cabin. History
Before there were water parks, golf courses or even the Wisconsin Dells, there lived a happy, peaceful native tribe who celebrated the natural wonders of Christmas Mountain Village. So beautiful in fact, that the tribe took great care to preserve the land, so people for generations to come could enjoy it. Season to season, the tribe enjoyed every new thing offered by the mountain. They celebrated each season, planting crops in the spring, swimming and fishing through the summer, hiking and hunting through the fall and sledding through the winter snows. While the tribe is now gone, their spirit still lives in every outdoor game, activity, and photo you take. So go ahead and get out there.
