The Ellora Caves in India are not technically classified as one of the seven wonders of the world, but gosh, it should be. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ellora’s magnificence is incredibly special.

Each monuments represent three major religions: Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism, all existing side by side. Dating from roughly the 6th to 10th centuries, the complex is a remarkable example of artistry, engineering, and religious coexistence.

Standing in Cave 16, the Kailasa Temple, is carved directly out of the rock. No building blocks. No modern machinery. You just have to marvel at the design intricacies and detail.

You’ll spend days exploring, but it is very much worth the journey.
