The Winfield Riverwalk has paths for walkers, joggers, and bikers. After receiving a grant, first phase improvements will include multiple fitness stations promote a healthy lifestyle, a canoe/kayak launch to provide easier access to t
he river, and bandshell will be able to host a variety of cultural programs for area residents and visitors. Donors are welcome and encouraged to help additional amenities such as seating, shelters, and bicycle repair stations. Education
The Winfield Riverwalk connects people to the beauty of the DuPage River and nearby Forest Preserves, giving them easy access to these natural treasures. Transportation
The Winfield Riverwalk provides a transition from the County-maintained trail system to the north to the planned extension to the south and west. Walker, bicyclists, and horseback riders can all enjoy using the scenic trail. Business
The Winfield Riverwalk project is an opportunity to make Winfield a destination for the hundreds of thousands of path users in DuPage County. This will benefit all businesses, especially those in Winfield’s Town Center.
