It's happening again.
Some people love the snow, and the cold. That's not us.
But as always, we are doing everything we can keep a regular schedule. There is a lot of misconceptions when it comes to residential pickup and snow days. Drivers aren't getting an extra day off. When it comes to your collection we do everything possible to try and get everyone picked up, more often than not drivers are working on Saturday losing their 2 days off in a row to recoup from the rough week. They are working longer hours due to getting stuck, or slow hydraulics taking breaks to keep warm. This is not a job for everyone. When the weather is frigid like it is today, it is extremely hard on equipment. No matter the amount of prep, age, how often the truck is maintained sometimes equipment just isn't cooperating resulting in some longer frustrating days. Lastly we understand some roads are passible for your cars, trucks, amazon ETC. But please take into consideration these trucks can be extremely top heavy. Our drivers are all professionals they have been with us through it all, as important as your pickup is to us we cannot do it without our crew, and equipment. There is nothing like being in a giant ice skate without any control to really give you some perspective on how dangerous something like a big truck can be! So going into this we ask for understanding, and respect. We don't know how each road will be but if you live down a road that is not cleared and doesn't get cleared but it constantly driven on packing it into ice. Please make plans to wait until the roads are cleared by nature for pickup, or you may bring you carts/cans to the nearest cleared road of ice or snow, generally this is asphalt and let us know where your cans are setting in advanced so we can tell the drivers. Lastly as always please set your carts out the night before, routes are unpredictable, drivers may be running early, or late with extra trucks running to help. If they do not show up on your day or a regular time. Please leave it at the curb we will do everything in our power to give you the same 5-star service we do when it is warm.
