Continuing with our Patriotic "Socks of Love" theme in commemoration of our Country's 250th celebration, Lions Mary Ann Horaj, Doreen Demone, Diane Leone and Renee Bailey visited Windham Terrace Assisted Living and enjoyed spending time with the residents and staff at their ice cream social. Members even assisted in making ice cream sundaes! Delivering the socks to the residents brings much joy and pleasure when you see the smiles on their faces!

Lions Diane and Renee also visited Warde Senior Living where residents enjoyed receiving their Patriotic "Socks of Love" filled with fun treats!

Join us for two days of activities, refreshments, and opportunities to connect with neighbors while supporting Windham Endowment's NH Gives fundraiser.
Come see the space in action and learn how this year's campaign will help enhance our community center—a welcoming gathering place that serves residents of all ages.

Congratulations to Windham Lions 2026 Scholarship Recipients!
At Windham High's School Blue and Gold awards, Scholarship Chairman Lion Renee Bailey and Lion Diane Leone presented certificates to Luca Mercuro, recipient of the Jeffrey P. Shaw Memorial Scholarship; Kaitlyn Skwiot, recipient of the David Dunn Memorial Scholarship, Kiley Candon, recipient of the Jeffrey P. Shaw Memorial Scholarship and Riley Zachas, recipient of the Merrill Greenlee Memorial Scholarship. Each recipient will receive a $2,000 award.

We wish them all the best and look forward to hearing all about their accomplishments as they continue their journey of learning!

It's been a busy week for Windham Lions Club visiting our First Responders and our Librarians. President Zack Brown, Treasurer Tom Winter and Lions Becky Brown and Glenn Jutras stopped by Windham Fire, Windham Police and the Nemith Library and presented each with a $1,000 donation. It was a fun-filled day at our annual Strawberry Festival sponsored by the Friends of the Library of Windham (FLOW). Our club had a table with strawberry themed giveaways and treats for all the kids. Mother Nature may not have cooperated, but the smiles on the faces of all the kids were precious!

A huge shout out and thank you to the Windham Moms Alliance for "bailing" us out as we ran out of give-a-ways!! We are forever grateful for their assistance!

It's been a busy week for our Lions Club! Today, Lion Diane Winter, President Zack Brown and Treasurer Tom Winer visited Millstone Wildlife Center in Windham to present our donation of $1,000 to Executive Director Frannie Greenberg. And peeking through his cage is their porcupine!!!

Millstone Wildlife Center (MWC) is a home-based wildlife rehabilitation facility for injured and orphaned mammals. The center is run by Executive Director, Frannie Greenberg. Frannie is licensed by both NH Fish and Game as a rehabilitator and the USDA as a permitted facility to house program animals. Frannie’s background in Animal Science and Museum Education has helped to foster this organization.

Destination Imagination - At our recent meeting, the local team of 5th grade students who have qualified for the Destination Imagination Global Finals in Kansas City, taking place May 21–24 shared their experience with Destination Imagination and even performed a short skit. These 5th graders from Windham Center School were amazing and our members thoroughly enjoyed meeting them along with their coach Alberto Chang.

This is a wonderful opportunity for these students to represent our community, and the Windham Lions Club was thrilled to present them with a $500.00 donation to help defray their travel and other costs.

Getting ready for the upcoming 2026-2027 Windham Lions year. President Zack Brown, Secretary Renee Bailey and Club Administrator Deb Cedrone attended this year's Officer training along with 80 other Lion members from across the state.

Officers training is an opportunity to learn about new initiatives within Lions International and to strengthen our ability to serve.
Through this training, officers gain fresh ideas, leadership skills, and practical tools to help our clubs grow and succeed!

In conjunction with Earth Day, Lions Becky Brown, Zack Brown, Doreen Demone, Matt Mosman, Bill Brown and Susan Flynn donned their vests, gathered their tools and ventured out along Route 111 picking up trash that has accumulated during the winter months. 30 bags of trash were collected!! Windham Lions is a proud sponsor of NHDOT's Sponsor-A-Highway program.
