The S&S disaster prevention kit is a great option for the 6.7 powerstroke. Essentially it keeps the fuel injection pump from destroying the injectors and the rest of the fuel system if the CP4 goes bad.

The 6.4L and the 6.0L use the same oil filter and attention needs taken to the oil filter tube/stem. Built into the top of the tube is an oil filter bypass button. If missing, the oil is never forced though the filter media but continuously bypasses the filter. Double check your truck next time you do your own service. And dont forget about the drain back valve as well, it needs to be present and functioning properly as well.

For those of you who don't know....the PDC Specialist turkey hunts a little bit. The 2023 spring season was a great time to be out in the woods.....GA, VA, WV, and PA had plenty of turkeys to make it the best season ever. Now i can focus a little more on fixin trucks.

2000 5.9 Cummins, P0336 crankshaft position sensor no signal. After checking wiring, ecm, and testing a lot of stuff.....i found the problem through the crankshaft sensor port. The rpm/crankshaft tone ring had grenaded....thankfully the tone ring could be replaced without pulling the engine, however it was so close i thought for a moment that was the only option. The tone ring mounting screws were broken off inside the crank and had to be extracted tediously by welding to them (they were so small). Truck starts fine now that it can read RPM. What a relief once i figured out the problem!

Cab mounts and broken lug nut on front wheel, thankfully the wheel bearing assembly and tire could be removed without standard disassembly. Torched and drove out the bad lug and nut from the back once everything was on the shop floor.
