🚨 BIG NEWS FOR SOUTHERN MOVING & STORAGE! 🚨

A dream we’ve had for years is finally becoming a reality… We’re building our FOREVER HOME!

This next chapter for Southern Moving & Storage will include over 41,000 square feet of climate-controlled space, offering residential storage, commercial storage, and interior design services—all on more than 5.5 acres of property!

This expansion is more than just new buildings. It’s an investment in our future, our team, our customers, and the Wilmington community that has supported us for nearly 13 years. We’re creating the space and opportunity to continue growing, expanding our services, and taking Southern Moving to the next level!

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible clients, Realtors, interior designers, business partners, and everyone who has trusted and supported us along the way. We truly wouldn’t be where we are today without you.

We’re targeting completion around February, and you can bet we’ll be celebrating with a ribbon-cutting party alongside the clients, friends, and partners who helped make this possible!

Here’s to nearly 13 years of hard work, growth, and relationships—and to the NEXT 13 YEARS of Southern Moving & Storage!

We’re just getting started!

A designer's job doesn't end when the furniture is ordered.

There's receiving, inspecting, delivering, and getting every piece into place.

At Southern Moving & Storage, we help interior design professionals manage those important steps between placing an order and bringing a space together.

Have a project coming up? Send us a message. We'd love to hear what you're working on.

Not all moving quotes tell the same story.

Before choosing a moving company, make sure you understand what's included, how your furniture will be protected, and what to expect before moving day.

A few good questions upfront can make the entire process a lot smoother.

Save these questions for your next move.

There's a lot more to moving furniture than picking it up and putting it down.

It's the extra care that goes into wrapping a couch, handling a bulky piece of furniture, and making sure everything is ready for the ride.

These are the details our crew pays attention to, because your belongings deserve more than just a ride in the truck.

Not every move starts at the house.

Some pieces spend time here first, received, stored, protected, and kept organized until they’re ready for their next stop.

It’s one of the parts of moving you may never see, but it matters just as much as what happens on moving day.

From storage to delivery, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes to keep everything moving smoothly.

Loading a moving truck is more strategic than it looks.

It’s not just about making everything fit. It’s about balancing weight, protecting furniture, using space wisely, and making sure everything stays secure along the way.
Because the goal isn’t a full truck.

It’s getting everything there right.

For a few hours, almost everything you own is in someone else’s hands.

That’s why moving is never just about getting boxes from one address to another. It’s about how everything is wrapped, carried, loaded, and cared for along the way.

Because getting it there is only half the job. How it gets there matters too.

Some things are easy to replace. Others aren't.

That’s why packing has never been just about getting everything into boxes.

It’s about knowing that what we’re handling belongs to someone. It has a place in their home, a story behind it, or a reason they’ve chosen to bring it with them.

So we pack it like it matters. Because it does.
