As I was scrolling through my camera roll searching for adventure content, my eyes kept lingering on certain pictures. These pictures were ones that immediately brought joy and happiness into my heart when I saw them because they were filled with things I love.
I selected a couple dozen, crafted them into a reel, and watched it a dozen times with a smile on my face. Do you know what all these pictures have in common? ✨home✨
All of the adventures, the food we have ate, the places we have been, the beauty we have seen, and my favorite things are still home. None of these pictures are from vacations or day trips, they are all from home. Random flowers I have snapped pictures of. My mom care free in a crowd at a concert. Sitting in a lawn chair and talking to dad while he grills. Cracking jokes with my big sister. Cuddling with my precious dog, Lola. Waffles from Waffle House. Seeing the relationship Evan has with his grandfather. Getting baptized. Board games on the porch. Sunset picnics with Evan.
Never forget that while traveling and creating amazing memories is so so awesome, that sometimes the best things are right where you left them… home.

Whenever we are traveling and eating out a lot, sometimes we start feeling bleh and like we are eating terribly. When this happens, we go on the hunt for the nearest and highest rated smoothie cafe to charge up on some fruits and superfoods.
1. Adapt - Wrightsville Beach: on the main strip of the beach. Very small and boutique-like with a light and airy aesthetic. Is connected to a local grocery store if you needed to grab anything else before walking down to the beach. A little on the pricier side but very worth it for the size and quality smoothie bowl you get.
2. Drift - Downtown Wilmington: located in the heart of downtown with a lot of stores to shop around near by. Very spacey with room to hang around and escape the heat for a little bit. They had smoothies, coffee, and light breakfast/lunch meals. Also a very light and pretty aesthetic.

Food: The food was absolutely amazing! We both got the same burger and tots which were recommended to us by the cashier as the best seller (we ordered the Samburger: potato roll, two patties, cheddar, bacon, onion straws, caramelized onions, mess sauce). The burger was not overly greasy and was the perfect size. The tots were AMAZING.

Service: You order at the counter and go pick it up at the counter when it’s ready. Drinks are self-serve. The cashier was friendly, but overall service isn’t really a part of the experience here.

Inside: The restaurant itself was very cool and unique. The outside sort of looks like a car garage (but a nice, modern one haha!) but the inside was surprisingly aesthetically pleasing. Very light and bright with plants hanging all along the front windows. It was very spacious, the bar was pretty, and there was some outdoor seating in the back.

Location: I liked that this restaurant was not on the main road so it was quiet and not too trafficked. There was plenty of parking.
Price: The burgers were $15 each which was a great price! Double patty burger with tots that is that delicious for only $15? Sign me up!

Overall Experience: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food came out quickly. Order was correct. Food was great. Bathrooms were clean. It was not crowded and we had no problem parking!

Why did we decide to start this adventure page?

The idea has been talked about for a while now which was motivated by our followers comments on our photos.
We just took a small, weekend trip to Wilmington and as usual, we have tons of pictures from all of our experiences. We felt that a page dedicated to travels like these would allow us to share our photos but also our recommendations and reviews on what we do on our trips.

We hope you all enjoy!

If anyone has been following us for long then you know that we both love to explore, take pictures, and EAT!
So…Evan and I decided that we should have a page dedicated to these experiences and give the best tips regarding travel, even on the small scale, to those looking to create similar memories.

Evan and I are engaged and have been together for over 6 years. We have always enjoyed trying new things together and found a shared passion in the process that we think has made us a stronger couple.
We have been blessed beyond measure and owe our relationship and all the fun we get to have to God!
