Notice from Wilmington Transit System
Effective on November 1, 2026
WTS announces that all transit services and administrative offices will be closed on
Sunday, November 1, 2026, to allow employees to participate in a comprehensive
departmental training program.
What This Means for Riders
• Passengers are encouraged to plan their transportation needs accordingly for
November 1. For additional information regarding schedules and services,
please contact WTS.
• Regular transit service will resume normal operating schedule on Monday,
November 2, 2026.
Operational Goals
This one-day closure is being held to provide staff with updated training on safety
procedures, customer service, operational best practices, and regulatory requirements.
The training is part of WTS's ongoing commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and
efficient transportation services to the residents of Wilmington and surrounding
communities. We appreciate the public's understanding as our team participates in
this important training opportunity. Investing in employee development helps ensure
that we continue to provide the highest level of service and safety for our passengers.
