Off season is a great time to get your hydraulic steering serviced. Seastar recommends a yearly service as the system is vented and can pull in moisture. Letting old contaminated fluid sit too long can result in this.. a skip when you turn the wheel as the plungers in the helm pump are sticking.

And this is why we only use genuine OEM parts in every service... aftermarket impeller did not make it very long.. rubb...

And this is why we only use genuine OEM parts in every service... aftermarket impeller did not make it very long.. rubber is very soft compared to OEM. FYI we did not install this... customer is very lucky not to have overheated the engine.
