The airfield and runway were active in the 1950's as a crop duster operation. 2 small T-hangars (or T-shades, not sure as only the concrete pads were left) protected the ag aircraft. We have very little information on the operation except it stopped at some point. In 1990, the LeRoy family purchased the 160 acre parcel and returned it to flying condition along with getting it listed on the FAA Phoenix Sectional Chart. The runway was in bad shape, but a road grader quickly returned it to active status. The runway runs East/West and is a half-mile long (2600 feet) of groomed packed dirt. An original redwood timber 200'x50' hangar is on the property. An additional 100'x70' modern steel building was built.
