4 Women Ovary Where was founded by Katherine Arroyo on November 22, 2016. After doing some research and speaking with different shelters, she learned that many shelters do not provide homeless people with hygiene products and they are the least donated which means they are often caught stealing in order to get them through the week. Have you ever wondered what homeless people do when their time of
the month comes? Katherine found out that many use anything from chip bags to their own socks to get them through their days, so she knew she needed to do something about it. With the help of family and friends she was inspired to start a non-profit to help the homeless population get through their time. Soon after, we were able to have our first 4 Women Ovary Where drive in Downtown Los Angeles, Skid Row. Katherine is not only hoping to provide menstrual hygiene kits to the homeless population of LA but to also put an end to the shame surrounding menstruation. Join us in our movement to raise money and products to assemble kits that will provide the homeless population of LA with a comfortable period.
