🌧️ We just can’t catch a break with this weather!

The kayaks are ready. The paddleboards are ready. The pontoon is ready. Unfortunately, the forecast didn’t get the memo. 😅

With more rounds of rain and storms in the forecast, we're continuing to keep a close eye on river conditions before opening. As excited as we are to get everyone out on the Ohio River, safety has to come first.

Keep those sunshine dances going for us! ☀️🛶🚤 We'll be ready the moment Mother Nature decides to cooperate.

🌊☀️ IT'S ALMOST GO TIME! ☀️🌊

We spent part of today out on the river putting our brand-new pontoon boat through its paces and getting that new engine properly broken in! 🚤💨

The water levels have finally dropped and are getting close to normal, but the current is still moving pretty strong. Even so, seeing the sunshine, being out on the water, and hearing that new motor purr has us more excited than ever for the season ahead!

We can't wait to welcome everyone aboard and help you make unforgettable memories on the Ohio River this summer. Whether you're looking for a relaxing cruise, a family adventure, or just a reason to get outside and enjoy the water, we've got you covered!

☀️ We were all ready for an amazing weekend on the water… but Mother Nature is still not fully cooperating. 🌊😞

Even though the weather forecast is looking BEAUTIFUL this weekend, the Ohio River conditions are unfortunately still too high and too rough for us to safely operate any of our watercraft. Safety will always come first at Wheeling Watersports, and because of the current river levels and flow, we will NOT be able to have kayaks, paddleboards, or the pontoon out again this weekend.

Trust us… we’re just as disappointed as you are. 😭

The good news? The forecast is finally trending DOWN, so we’re hopeful calmer conditions are on the way soon! 🙌

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience, support, and understanding while the river decides to calm down. As soon as conditions are safe, we’ll be back out there making memories on the water with all of you! 💙

As we spend time with family and friends and enjoy the beauty around us, we remember the brave men and women whose sacrifice made those moments possible. ❤️🤍💙

We were REALLY hoping to kick off the season this weekend… but Mother Nature and the Ohio River had other plans 🌧️🌊😅

Unfortunately, between the weather and river conditions, we won’t be opening just yet. Safety always comes first for our guests, staff, and equipment.

BUT… we are getting closer every day and we can’t wait to get everyone out on the water soon! ☀️🚤🛶

Stay tuned for updates as we continue preparing for opening day, getting everything ready, and waiting for the river to cooperate 🤞

The wait will be worth it — summer fun on the river is coming soon! 😎

This is our first year open, and with the TON of inquiries and positive feedback we’ve already received, we’re expecting a very busy summer on the river ☀️🚤

We highly recommend booking as soon as possible to lock in your preferred date and time. We’ve already started receiving reservations, and we anticipate that weekends and holidays will fill up FAST!

👉 Reservations are REQUIRED

We operate by reservation only during the week, so make sure you book ahead to get out on the water!

🌞 Weekends (Fri–Sun):

👉 Reservations are NOT required…
BUT they are HIGHLY recommended ⚠️

Why? Because weekends will fill up FAST. Like…
“Wait, everything’s booked already?!” fast 😅
