Old Dominion poultry show results.
This was kinda a Last minute decision to go. I wasn't even sure I could get the birds clean enough to go. I pulled them out of the breeding pens, gave them a bath and hoped for the best.
I only took 4 birds, two white girls that showed well last fall, one paint cockerel I held back to grow out, and one paint hen. When I went to get my paint girl who showed well last fall, I find that she has been broody and missing most her wing feathers ☹️ so I grabbed her much older momma. She had her wing feathers but her crest was lacking because of the rooster breeding her. I took her anyway. It has been a long time since she was in a show cage and she was a rock star about the whole process.
My white girls were not as white as I would have liked, but they did really good anyway.
Overall it was a great time, seeing and hanging out with chicken friends.
Honestly the most difficult part of the whole trip ( other than the capital beltway on the way home) was trying to keep Melanie Willens from over doing it right after her recent health issues. Needless to say trying to slow her down is like trying to stop a tsunami.🤣🤣

It was a warm long day and we were tired. We were up at 3am to make the drive down so by the end of the show we were exhausted.

This was my white hen that did so well at the Bath NY show.
Alethea was experimenting with making these for chickens like they do for show dogs. So happy she picked my girl to experiment with, she knocked it out of the park . Thank you so much
