Happy late Thanksgiving from our family to yours!

Sorry it is late, we have been busy! Our baby had her 1st baby!!!!! We are now a proud Great Aunt and Uncle. Sorry, but we let them have 1st post and a little time 1st! Meet Jasper!!! We both love you so much!! Kallah and Gabe we are so proud of ya'll!!! Aunt Shell loves her more than she will ever know! Even though the last name won't be posted here, I can say we are proud to have another Dowdy in our family!!!

🚨 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗗’𝗔𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 🚨

LDWF is extending the drawdown on Bayou D’Arbonne Lake in Union Parish until 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. Originally set to end November 15, the extension accommodates maintenance projects at boat launches and seawall/pier repairs for homeowners, requested by the Bayou D’Arbonne Lake Watershed District.

The drawdown, which began on September 3, reached 𝟱 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 in early October and has remained steady due to limited rainfall. This extended period also benefits the fishery and helps control nuisance aquatic vegetation like 𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮.

⚠️ 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: While the lake remains 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, exercise caution as underwater obstructions may not have normal clearance.
