FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Granite Air Center Achieves IS-BAH Stage 2 Certification
West Lebanon, NH – August 5, 2025 – Granite Air Center, the full-service fixed-base operator (FBO) at Lebanon Municipal Airport (KLEB), proudly announces its achievement of Stage 2 certification under the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) — marking a major milestone in the company’s on-going journey toward safety and operational excellence.
Co-owned by Jason Archambeault and Greg Soho, Granite Air Center began its IS-BAH journey over ten years ago, at a time when the company had no formal safety management system in place. With a strong desire to raise the bar on safety and professionalism, the team began building its Safety Management System (SMS) from the ground up — achieving Stage 1 certification in July 2023, and now reaching Stage 2 in July 2025, following a comprehensive audit by Allison Markey of 30W Aviation Consultants, LLC.
“This is the result of a lot of hard work, persistence, and belief in what safety culture can do for a company,” said co-owner Jason Archambeault. “Ten years ago, we were starting from scratch. Being a small organization and having no formal SMS experience, it felt a little bit like drinking from a fire hose as we learned how to build a proper SMS. Today, we’re operating with a mature, functioning SMS that supports not only our compliance but our identity as a safety-first organization. This has definitely been a team effort, and we are grateful for all of the people that have helped us and given us advice along the way.”
While the leadership initially had concerns about employee buy-in, those fears quickly faded.
“We expected some resistance when we introduced the IS-BAH framework,” said Greg Soho, co-owner. “But the opposite happened. Our team embraced it. There was no pushback — just a quiet professionalism and an eagerness to do things right. That kind of culture can’t be forced; it’s something you grow over time, and it’s something we’re incredibly proud of.”
The IS-BAH Stage 2 certification affirms that Granite Air Center has not only implemented a functioning SMS but is also actively managing and improving it, with measurable safety performance indicators and a culture of continual improvement.
Auditor and CEO, Allison Markey of 30W Aviation Consultants, LLC brought a deep knowledge of IS-BAH standards and aviation operations to the certification process. “Allison’s experience and insight helped make the audit both rigorous and constructive,” added Archambeault. “Her professionalism helped us validate where we’ve made progress — and where we still have room to grow.”
Granite Air Center is also a proud member of the Air Elite® Network by World Fuel, a global network of FBOs committed to elevated service, facility excellence, and operational integrity — further aligning the company with industry-leading practices.
