Where it all started!

The Old Original Rockford Sock.

Every one who purchased a pair of wool Rockford Socks back then found a guarantee slip in the toe of each sock.

The Nelson Knitting company was established in 1870. The Rockford Red Heel was trademarked in 1932.

Nelson Knitting Company was at 909 South Main Street-next to Tinker Swiss Cottage

A Grace Winget made a sock monkey doll for her grandson in 1951. In 1955 the Nelson Knitting Company was granted with the patent.
