Windrift Hall

Windrift Hall Make Windrift Hall your Sanctuary in the Hudson Valley in a beautifully restored 1795 Federal manor house on 14 acres with a private pond.

Old world elegance meets new world charm in Windrift Hall, a classic manor house in the picturesque Hudson River Valley. The house is situated on a hill overlooking beautifully landscaped meadows with fields, mature trees and plantings, stone walls, gardens, a pond and a gently flowing creek. It's an intimate and personal surrounding and a perfect setting for your wedding, retreat or workshop. We'

re very different from the usual corporate wedding venues. You will be able to spend some time with your family and friends in a beautiful setting and will have the freedom to create your vision and add your very personal touch to every detail of your special day. We have worked closely together with the Town of Coxsackie to obtain all necessary permits, so you can host your event in a safe and nurturing environment. Please enquire about our wedding fees, which include the use of the house as an overnight accommodation for 9 guests and the permit to have an event on the grounds with up to 150 guests. We would be happy to recommend different vendors who have worked with us in the past ranging from tent and party supply rentals to caterers, transport services etc. We can also help you find the right lodgings for your guests, from inexpensive motels and hotels within 5 min drive to hip B&B's in nearby Hudson. We are not a wedding factory. The people who come to us are looking for a unique, unforgettable experience in an intimate setting without the usual rush of other places. If that sounds like something you're interested in, we would love to talk to you.

The patio is officially open, wind drifting through planters overflowing with lavender, the scent of fresh mint tea carrying you somewhere else each time the breeze passes by.

Sitting at the pond, overlooking the quiet ripples drifting toward the reeds, I realize how little the world asks of us in moments like this. No deadlines. No explanations. Just the soft choreography of wind and water and the occasional bird chirping into the silence. Somewhere in the City life continues with its usual rush, traffic lights changing, phones buzzing, conversations overlapping, but here, everything moves at the pace of reflection. I watch a single leaf circle slowly near the bank, never quite deciding where to land and think about how often people mistake stillness for stagnation. The pond knows better. Beneath its calm surface, everything is alive, shifting, becoming and for the first time in a long while, I let myself simply sit there, overlooking nothing urgent at all.

Lily of the Valley bloom now under our birch trees and fill our rooms with their sweet fragrance. Their tiny white bells nod gently in the breeze, as though whispering secrets only spring could understand.

Saturday Vibes. Love settling into cozy corners and slipping into another world. Book of this month "In a Foreign Park" by Rainer Maria Rilke, a collection of poems best savored in silence, then carried with you on a slow walk in nature. Have a great weekend.
