After learning that the pool was in danger of being closed by the WB-RC school board due to funding issues & budget cuts, the Ogemaw Area Swim Boosters was created in hopes of keeping the pool "afloat". We are a non-profit, volunteer organization working together to raise the funds needed to keep this amazing asset to our community up & running! Through community support, fundraising, donations &
pool sponsorship's we hope to raise the funds needed to support the local swimming programs & save our pool from closure. Our objective is to supply financial support for pool maintenance & the swim programs, including, but not limited to, high school swim & dive teams, competitive youth swimming (OASC), lap swim, swim lessons & open swim; And to to aid in promotion, publicity and development of events. In order to keep the pool from being closed this year, a MINIMUM of $12,000 will need to be raised by June 1st, 2013, with an additional MINIMUM of $6,000 needing to be raised by October 1st, 2013. However, our goal needs to be set much higher, as this does NOT cover any unforeseen expenses or emergency repairs ~ So we are aiming to raise $30,000 +. Membership of the Boosters shall decide on the distribution of funds raised. The money will Not be part of the general fund! Donations can be sent to:
