Since COVID We have been forced to go back working exclusively with the Car dealerships after twenty successful years doing direct customer work. We just can’t make it pay off now, to few people can afford to fix their cars without insurance paying. We did a lot of insurance work in our business before the pandemic and the insurance companies have become impossible to deal with ( they refuse to approve what’s required to repair cars correctly) and by using remote estimating they can force shops to make inferior repairs for less money so now I will not do those bigger insurance jobs needed to support taking on smaller jobs like many people have. I’m sorry but I don’t have any recommendation for someone else to repair your car.

As a side note for my customer base we are doing just fine and even building up the mobile repair business for the dealers, they love our repairs that actually match the car and our pricing ( the new color matching camera we all have now is a major advancement for us) . It is possible that at some point I can go back to doing direct customer work but clearly that will not happen any time soon.

So after two years working on this car I’m finally back where I belong, an old guy driving his old Car. I miss working for my many customers on their dream cars and family cars and just delivering quality work for loyal customers but I am doing well working for the dealerships with our merry band of mobile body shop owners in the area.

If any of my customers know of anyone who has a passion for cars and would like to join our top 500 franchise and make great money filling a tremendous demand please send them my way! Perhaps if I can add a couple more franchise owners to our group of eight in the area and I can go back working in our shop and resume doing retail repairs again. I miss you guys.
