Busy day at the Ringis Rolling Mini Estate! Both vehicles and the golf cart got a much-needed bath after that hurricane left everything covered in grime. Next up is the RV, but maybe we’ll hold off until hurricane season calls it quits! 😉

We are safe. And truly blessed.
We are praying for everyone who has been impacted by Milton and Helene.
I’m so ready for this hurricane season to be over!!

Our first hurricane evacuation has us feeling some sort of way… but I saw this shared by a friend of a friend and I honestly couldn’t say it any better myself, so with her permission, here ya go:

Dear everyone who doesn't live in Florida but loves someone who does, here are some things you need to know about hurricanes:

They don't come until they come, so if you ask us how we are 72 hours before we expect the winds to start, don't be surprised if we tell you we're fine. Please believe us. We're actively preparing, and we're watching the forecast more closely than you are, but we're truly fine at the moment.

Hurricanes are unpredictable. No matter how good the models are, hurricanes often demonstrate a mind of their own. We're always hoping and praying for a turn or "wobble" that sends the monster further from civilization. But if you ask us what's going to happen three or four days from now, we honestly don't know for sure (and neither do the meteorologists).

An entire state can't evacuate. Everyone packing up, jumping into their cars and heading north may seem like a great idea. However, the truth is that those of us in "safer" inland regions generally need to stay put to reserve the roads, gas, hotel rooms, shelters, plane tickets, etc. for the most vulnerable folks who live on the coast in the storm's path (where evacuation orders exist). Some inland folks may choose to leave, but most of us stay put and follow the instructions of our local governments.

We truly appreciate your love and concern, the offers to stay in your homes, etc. Know that the national media is doing a pretty good job of stirring up your anxiety. Our local weather teams are much calmer and more knowledgeable about how the hurricanes affect our area. They are working nonstop to give us updates and telling us to prepare. We trust them. When the tie comes off, the sleeves are rolled up, and we're told to hunker down, we're ready.

Of course we're worried, but we're trying to do all the right things to prepare and not freak out. Thanks for offering words of love and encouragement (and not jumping on the freak-out wagon - it just makes it harder on us).

Your Florida loved ones ❤️

PS. Ask how we are after it passes!

You always know things are getting crazy when the weatherman rolls up his sleeves!!

**Rolling Sushi and Rolling with Adventure 🍣🚐**

Last night, we rolled into a sushi-making class for date night! Who knew we could make sushi as well as we navigate the open road? From sticky rice to perfect rolls, it was an adventure we didn’t expect but loved every bite of!

This is just another delicious memory from life on the road. 🍱💖

It's true, home is where we park it...and our home has been parked in Fort Myers for an entire year! 365 days sure went by fast...and we've had a lot of fun. Even though our home stayed put - we did not. We've worked hard - and played harder.
- We were blessed with our 17th grandchild... C**t Jacob Armstrong. 💙
- We visited Orlando several times to see Caleb, Abbe and Emmy. We went to Old Forge, NY to celebrate a milestone birthday for one of Randy's Army buddies. We've been back to Indiana to visit a few times and got to see all of our kids, to West Palm Beach for a cigar expo, to I (Lynn) went to Dallas to watch my niece compete in the NCA All Star National Championship and to have a girls weekend with a friend.
- We made a quick trip to Bend, Oregon to surprise our daughter and catch her on-stage singing debut. We visited the beautiful country of Panama and did a four day excursion on a catamaran with friends, and we visited Las Cruces, New Mexico for a wedding.
- We've stayed in more than a dozen different Airbnbs, several hotels and a couple nights with family.
- Got some new wheels... bicycles, golf cart and a car.
- We took first place for BEST COUPLE COSTUME at our neighborhood Halloween party (Randy was Wonka, I was an Oompa Loompa!)
- We've welcomed family and friends who made the trip to visit us here.
- We added another cat to the family. (Daisy Mae)
- Randy has done several 5ks and a half-marathon.
- We went to the Renaissance Festival, Naples Zoo, Gatorland, Sea World, Universal, Disney World, and several visits to Dave & Busters... putt-putt golf, Top Golf, real golf, casinos, bowling, hockey games, the Murder Mystery Dinner Train, museum tours, days at the beach, plays, musicals, a candlelight symphony, comedy shows, concerts, boating and lots of fabulous restaurants.
It's been an AMAZING year!
I can't share all the pictures, so I'll share some of my favorites...

This is the model we have. (The only difference is ours is blue/silver/black on the outside.)
The bed is in the raised position to allow a golf cart to fit in the garage. Once the cart is out, you push a button to lower the bed to a normal height. 😊

Not all days are easy… but understanding that it’s all part of the journey and being grateful for all the things that could have made this so much worse….that’s how we roll. Literally.
