The Wild Rose Police Department is asking for anyone with information on who may have caused a large amount of damage to the grass near the runway at the Wild Rose Airport – on or around the evening hours of Aug. 18 into the morning hours of Aug. 19. Please contact the Wild Rose Police Dept. at 920-622-4148.

Big news! We finally replaced the old courtesy car! A HUGE "THANK YOU!!" to all involved, from the board members to our awesome City administrative staff! An extra shout out to our City Police Dept for leaving all those future miles in our new ride! With a community that works so well together there's not much we can't accomplish!

Hey all! Sad news happening! Sounds like Portage Airport (C47) is about to be closed by the City. EAAChapter 371 and Wisconsin Pilots has a post on it. Take some time to read up and show your support!

Hey guys! Some of our wonderful, local, elected officials are trying to pull a fast one and shut down our local airport, C47, Portage, WI. They've proposed a resolution to immediately shut down the airport and disband the airport commission, all without public input.

We, EAA Chapter 371, are trying to make as much noise as possible. If any of you are available to show up tomorrow at 2:30pm, NBC15 will be out at the airport, talking to club members, and the community. Please consider flying in or stopping out to support us!!

🛩️ Urgent Community Alert: Support Needed for Portage Municipal Airport! 🛩️

Dear EAA Chapter 371 Community,

Yesterday we learned that the City of Portage plans to immediately close our cherished Portage Municipal Airport, all without involving us, the community, or even seeking our input. This decision could have far-reaching consequences, impacting local businesses, our youth outreach programs, and our sense of unity.

Even more concerning, they're considering disbanding the Airport Commission, effectively silencing our voices. But we won't let that happen!

Join us for a peaceful rally this Sunday, August 20th, 2:30 PM, at the airport to show our support. NBC 15 News TV will be there to help us share our concerns.

On Thursday, August 24th, let's gather at City Municipal Building, 115 West Pleasant Street, Portage, WI, to address the City Council directly at their 7:00 PM meeting. Let's make sure our airport's future is decided with transparency and community involvement.

Spread the word and stand up for Portage Municipal Airport's future!

Be advised that we have been and still are having issues with our lights. They are most likely stuck on low. They may work on chance but don’t bank on it. We have turned them up to just under medium for the low setting. We have NOTAM’d them but the NOTAM keeps being dropped.
On a brighter side they do not affect anyone flying in during the day!!

That’s right! It’s a Pancake Breakfast! And on the busiest Sunday morning we have! Stop on out or drop in on your way to the Big Show! We will be serving from 7am until noon next Sunday, July 25th! $8.00 a meal and $5 for kids under 12 years old. Can’t wait to see you all!!

We had our first traveler headed to EAA on Sunday! (Ron) “Stubs” flew his RV from California to volunteer at the show as he has done in past years. The only change is he started in a Cessna 150 a few years ago and then a 160hp RV and now has this beautiful 200hp monster to get the job done! Thanks for stopping in “Stubs”!
