After many delays I’ve installed the bridge and the tabletop is ready for paint.

It’s been promised for a long time, but I finally cleaned out the basement after having built my tables last year. I will show progress here as it happens. I’m very excited for this!

I finally got the majority of the bench work done. I still have to install a drawbridge for my entry path. Everything is nice and sturdy And as soon as I get a little more stuff out of the basement I’ll be able to start working on the layout.

Got a lot more accomplished, I’ve boxed up and put away the trains for the initial wave of selling. Also started attaching tables to one another, so I am getting close to being able to lay track.

Someone wiser than me once said, “you don’t have a hobby, you have inventory!” Well, i’ve been unpacking totes and my inventory is mostly out on my tables right now. I’m going to be selling a bunch of it online to make room to have an actual layout. I have hundreds of train cars, far more than one human being could possibly ever use.

I’m finally getting around to building something. The framework along the walls is to support shelving for my trains. When that is done I will start building the bench work.

Just wanted to have a page dedicated to my railroad layout which I am building in my basement. One step at a time! Nothing done so far but with the change in seasons I will start soon!
