After dealing with drifts almost four feet high and three steady days of cleanup by multiple crews, the airport is back open for aircraft traffic. It’s not pretty and looks like a snow bomb went off but DCY is now back up and going!

There are a few NOTAMs in place due to low braking ability on runway 18/36 and the hangar aprons, main apron and taxiways due to very slick, compacted snow but they should melt off slowly as long as the sun stays out.

Stay safe out there!

At this time DCY is closed until further notice due to the amount of snowfall and the clearing that needs to be done. We ask that all tenants and potential guests please stay off airport property to make it easier to clear. Packed snow on the driveways and aprons is the last thing to melt and we want this stuff gone as soon as it can go.

We appreciate your cooperation and will have the airport opened back up asap!

⛔️ TAXIWAY CLOSURE ON 11/6 & 11/7 ⛔️

On Thursday and Friday, the main taxiway running parallel to R18/36 will be closed from 8am - 5pm EST so that trucks can access the construction site. The closure will be from the north side of taxilane A (according to NOTAM manager) aka T-Hangar Lane to the north taxiway connector off of R18.

R18/36, taxiway heading south from Lane A, fuel station and ranp WILL NOT BE IMPACTED. Planes can still move freely throughout the airport with the exception of the main taxiway closed to the north as depicted below!

If you build it, they will come… 🚧🏗️🛬

Yesterday, DCY officially broke ground for a new taxilane and access road. Construction is moving right along for this project to be completed by the end of November. At just under $1.2 million dollars, the project is being funded by state and federal grant dollars, allowing the airport to grow and be “site ready” for businesses and/or individuals looking to call DCY home for their transportation needs.

🚧 DCY is growing AGAIN!

Starting Monday, October 20th, the airport will once again see survey flags, heavy equipment, construction material and more as ground will be broken for the new taxilane and access road to the north of the existing hangars. The construction area will predominantly be to the north of the t-hangars and the main drive. Please be alert when entering the airport grounds!
