The final project Project in our countdown of 20 Projects for 20 Years of TG+P West is the Expo Park Master Plan in LA.

Torti Gallas led a team in the creation of a new Master Plan for the State of California's Exposition Park in Los Angeles. Steeped in history, this iconic space served as the location for the 1932 and 1984 Olympic Games. In 2028, it will once again play a significant role when the Olympics return to the Los Angeles region.

In many ways, Expo Park resembles more of a campus than it does an urban park. In addition to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the park hosts the California Science Center, the California African-American Museum, the Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History, the Exposition Center Aquatic complex, the Alexander Science Elementary School, the Wallis Annenberg building, the new Bank of California Stadium, The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art which is currently under construction. The goal of the Master Plan is to provide a unifying thread to tie together the spaces and the institutions, while adding green space, reducing the dominance of the automobile, and providing a more joyful experience for visitors to the park and its various institutions.
