The community showed up on Monday, and the energy was unreal. 🚲💚

At our e-bike maintenance workshop, we didn’t pick winners… Everyone who came went home with multiple bike racks and panniers to expand their cargo space and do more with their e-bikes. ⚡️

The engagement and support in the room were inspiring. This is exactly the kind of micro-mobility community energy we’re building together.

Answer: The battery. And most people accidentally shorten its lifespan without even knowing it.

Here are 3 things we’ll cover at our Nov 24 workshop that will save you $$$ and extend your battery’s life:

1. THE GOLDILOCKS RULE
Never let your battery fully drain to 0%. Never leave it at 100% for weeks. The sweet spot? 20-80% for storage. Your battery lives longer in the middle zone.

2. COLD WEATHER REALITY
Lithium batteries HATE extreme cold. Below 32°F, they lose capacity temporarily (it comes back when warm!). We’ll teach you storage tricks and pre-ride warm-up techniques.

3. CHARGE CYCLE SECRETS
Your battery has ~500-1000 charge cycles. Partial charges count as partial cycles. Topping off from 60% to 80%? That’s only 0.2 of a cycle. Smart charging = longer life.

This is just the tip of the iceberg! At the workshop, Lavala will demonstrate proper battery care, removal/installation, and how to read warning signs before problems happen.

OUR NEW BRAND VIDEO!

This is a big day for us. For over a year we've been talking to our DC community and identifying why so many people want to get on ebikes.

It came down to this: using a car for every journey around DC is a huge headache. There's non-stop traffic, surprises, and too many "guys" trying to shake you down.
