The city of New York's police, fire and emergency communication systems were all located in the World Trade Center. On 9-11-01, When the terrorists destroyed the World Trade Center, all communications for these agencies were cutoff. The backup communication systems for the city were located in the Empire State Building.

Motorola Communications in Chicago was contacted and built a backup communications building for New York City. Four days later, White Brothers Trucking Co. got the call and hauled the shelter to New York City. With a two-man team we trucked it non-stop to the designated FEMA controlled area. God Bless every American that lost there lives that day.
