We have provided over $30,000 in scholarships for things like medical equipment, modified toys for inclusive play, intensive therapies, adapted car seats, medical conferences, and so much more.

This special walk is a free, joy-filled celebration honoring children with disabilities, and now it’s time to sign up!

If you're looking for someplace to fly this weekend, we would love for you to come show off your plane at the 3rd Annual Growing Minds Foundation Takes Flight Event on the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport here in Walnut Ridge, AR. We will be offering a $0.40/gal discount on all fuel for the day.

Are you looking for somewhere to fly on Saturday, June 6th. If so, I have just the place to fly to. The Growing Minds Foundation will hold its annual "Growing Minds Take Flight Event" on June 6, 2026 beginning at 10am at the Walnut Ridge Regional Airport in Walnut Ridge, AR. A 5K run will start earlier that morning at 7 a.m. Any of our pilot friends that would like to fly your airplane here for this event, The Walnut Ridge Regional Airport will be discounting our self-serve and full service (100LL and JetA) fuel by $0.40/gal to any aircraft that flies in and has their plane on static display for a few hours. This is a ONE DAY only discount.
Even if you don't have a airplane, please come out to this annual event at the airport. Maybe you would like to do the 5K run, eat at one of the many food trucks, or just find a place to fly, it will be a day filled with lots of activities. There will also be games for the kids, lots of aircraft to look at and drawings for free plane rides. This will be a FUN Event.

The Growing Minds Foundation are a nonprofit organization that gives scholarships to children with disabilities for needs such as home modifications, specialized surgery and specialized toys among other special need items they might need.

✈️⚡ The future of aviation is making headlines — and Lawrence County is already part of the journey.

This week, Good Morning America featured transportation correspondent Gio Benitez taking flight aboard an electric aircraft developed by BETA Technologies, highlighting the next generation of air transportation.

What makes this exciting for Lawrence County?

In 2024 BETA Technologies installed an electric aircraft charging station at Walnut Ridge Regional Airport, making Walnut Ridge one of the first communities in Arkansas selected to support this growing national aviation network.

As additional locations are planned across Arkansas and the country, our community is already positioned on the map as part of the infrastructure supporting the future of flight.

For a community with a rich aviation heritage dating back to World War II, it's fitting that Walnut Ridge continues to play a role in aviation innovation today.

From our regional airport and Amtrak station to Interstate 57 and expanding economic opportunities, Lawrence County continues to connect people, businesses, and ideas.

The future isn't just flying over Lawrence County — it's landing here.
