There’s a lot changing in freight right now, but the takeaway for agents is pretty simple.

Finding freight and finding a truck isn’t enough anymore. Carrier vetting, fraud prevention, risk management, market knowledge, and the brokerage behind you are becoming a bigger part of the job.

And that’s good for experienced agents.

The more complicated this industry gets, the more valuable it becomes to know what you’re doing and have the right infrastructure behind you.

Years ago, a small moment marked the beginning of a new chapter for Fenichey founder Vin Fenichey.

When a trucking operation was handed over to Tim Torelli, the usual date at the top of the notebook was replaced with two highlighted words:

TORELLI TIME

That story has stuck with Vin because it represented change, growth, and what comes next.

Fenichey has built the team, the foundation, and the tools. Now it’s time to see where the next evolution takes us.

When it comes to LTL, every extra touch is another opportunity for something to get delayed, damaged, or complicated.

So when we put Sunrunner Forwarding together, we kept coming back to a pretty basic idea. Touch the freight less and stay in control of it longer.

A little behind-the-scenes look at a recent load we helped coordinate with a full-service brokerage and asset-based transportation company based out of Jacksonville, FL. 🚛

Genesis worked with the carrier to get everything lined up, stay on top of communication, and keep the load moving smoothly from pickup through delivery.

It’s a good example of the work happening every day at Fenichey. Another load on the road, another relationship built along the way.

Two years of searching finally paid off!

James and his wife Amber closed on their new home. They held out for the right house in the right neighborhood, and they finally found it.

Just like logistics, buying a home takes patience. Sometimes you have to trust the process, wait for the right opportunity, and know when it's finally time to make the move.
