🚨 THIS 200 HP MERCURY WOULDN’T START… AND THE FIX WASN’T A NEW PART.

The customer was dealing with a no-start condition and was worried about what might be wrong. After a quick diagnosis, we found the starter solenoid had been wired incorrectly, preventing the engine from cranking.

With a few simple wiring corrections, this 200 HP Mercury 2-stroke fired right up and was ready for more adventures. 💪🚤

It’s always a great feeling when the solution turns out to be something straightforward and easy to fix.

Hey Hampton Roads family – from Rev Tech Marine. Your safety on the water means everything to us so I want to flag the new Mercury Marine bulletins hitting this week.
Mercury is warning about water rail connector failures on the 4.5L, 6.2L and 8.2L MerCruisers that can cause overheating and leave you stranded, and about saltwater corrosion on the shift studs in the 75 to 150hp FourStroke outboards that can kill your shift function. Service Bulletin says stop using the boat and contact an authorized dealer right away. 
If you run one of these engines and you're not sure if you're affected, shoot me a DM with your serial number. I'll check it for you, and if you need a quick mobile look-over before you head to the dealer, I'm here. I'd rather do a service check on the dock than see you towed in on a Saturday.

🚨 WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR ENGINE CAN’T GET WATER? 🚨

This is the result of the original Bravo Three water intake design failing.
A collapsed water intake retainer means one thing:
❌ Restricted water flow
❌ Reduced cooling capacity
❌ Increased risk of overheating
❌ Potentially expensive engine damage
