A reminder to our members:

Our regularly scheduled Board Meeting will be held Monday, June 1 at our office in Fritchton.

Just prior to that at 6PM will be a special meeting regarding a change in the bylaws about Board Member attendance. Notices about this meeting were mailed out earlier this month.

All members of our utility are invited to attend both meetings.

Just a reminder that payments are due today by 4PM.

We accept cash, checks, money orders and cards in the office (there is a fee for cards).
If you make a payment from our site, it will automatically post to your account as soon as you hit submit. That is at https://knoxcountywater.epayub.com

For future reference, you can also pay through your bank. This option will actually use a 3rd party to cut a physical check and mail to us, so please allow for extra time on that.

Also, we offer auto draft from a checking or savings account. That option is FREE! If you'd like to get that set up, just call the office for the form. 812-726-5330

Our Board meets Monday at 6:00pm for their regular monthly meeting.

All members of the utility are welcome to attend. Please call the office ahead of time if you'd like to be added to the agenda.

Due to the storms in our area last night, the scheduled power outage has been moved up. It will start around 9am instead.

During this time, we will not be able to process ANY payments--this includes online payments since our server will be down, as well.

This is expected to last about 4 hours.

Great news, everyone!

All new water samples have come back clean.

So, the boil order is lifted!

I know there is a lot of confusion right now on the boil order.

Edwardsport, Monroe City, Decker, Bicknell, Wheatland, Oaktown, Sandborn, and Freelandville all have their own systems. They are NOT under any type of boil order.

We sell water to Bruceville.

Vincennes Water Utilities issued a boil order on Friday, April 17. Since we purchase water from them, we issued our own boil order as an added precaution to our customers.

Bruceville has done the same.

Samples can take up to 48 hours for results. Once clean results are received from the new samples, the order will be lifted.

We are a distribution-only system. This means we purchase all of our water from other sources.

Vincennes Water Utilities has issued a boil order until further notice. As a precautionary measure, we are issuing our own boil order.

Bring your water to a rolling boil for at least 3 minutes and let it cool before using.

We will issue another notice when all samples have been received and you no longer need to boil the water.
