Hassett Moving & Storage was founded in 1939 and became one of the original agents for Allied Van Lines in Chicago, IL as a local and interstate moving company. In 1969, the company moved its headquarters to Elmhurst, IL where it thrived for 36 years. Following a management buyout in 1980, a new subsidiary was formed to offer freight forwarding services. Hassett Air Express quickly grew to become
a leader in the air freight market and expanded its footprint throughout the country. In October, 2013, then-President Michelle Halkerston purchased the company, combing the air and ground services under a newly formed entity, Hassett Express, LLC. In June, 2016, Hassett relocated its corporate headquarters to Oakbrook Terrace, IL to provide a larger, more modern work space for the growing company. In mid-2019 Hassett developed a strategy to further improve the customer experience and expand our service offerings by focusing on 3 core areas: Network/eCommerce, Specialized, and Expedited Services. In 2020, the final step of the plan was implemented. To better reflect our span and depth of transportation and logistics offerings, we unveiled Hassett Logistics as our go-to-market brand. We continue to challenge ourselves to evolve in ways that are beneficial to our team members and our customers. Though our name and logo are new, our commitment to providing a consistently excellent customer experience is intact. Throughout the changes and growth of the past 7 years, Michelle and the management team hold themselves and their teams to the same values and integrity that our customers have experienced for 40 years.
