Clear winter climbout over flat snow-covered terrain. Your rated passenger keys the radio without being asked. The call is textbook perfect. You are PIC and you never gave him that role. Did he just help you or cross a clear line? Pilots come down hard on both sides of this one.

You are next in line to taxi out when you notice the aircraft ahead is running its engine with the chocks still in. Key the mic and you delay yourself and maybe embarrass the student sitting next to you on frequency. Say nothing and they add power against the chocks. Saying nothing is also a call some experienced pilots would make. What is the right move here?

You are 40 knots into your takeoff roll at an uncontrolled field when a faster airplane cuts a tight final behind you, no announcement, no base call. Stopping hard on a short runway carries real risk, but so does launching into converging traffic. He made the bad call, but you still have options on the ground. Finish the roll or abort?

The runway is short, a hard stop is not risk-free, and under 91.113 the airplane on final has the right of way. Two experienced pilots will argue opposite sides of this one.

Night currency, 6 hours of sleep, and a rental due back by noon. One pilot says you are legal so go. The other says legal and sharp are two different things at 1 AM over a city. Which side are you on?

Amazing!

EntireFlight sponsored a Discovery Flight at Wings Over Batavia 2025, and we're so grateful they made this moment possible! ✈️

The winners were Nate and Natalie, a newly married couple. The best part? Nate had no idea Natalie had entered him!

A lifelong aviation lover, Nate hadn't been in the air since he was a teenager. This time he got to take the controls, with Natalie riding along in the back seat so they could share the experience together.

It was great getting to know you both, and a huge thank you to EntireFlight for helping make it happen!

The FBO courtesy car came with a 1-hour limit, and the desk told you another pilot is waiting. Your food arrived at 45 minutes and you have not touched it. Some pilots say rules are rules; others say the FBO runs on fuel sales, not courtesy-car clocks. What do you do?
