The upcoming Darke County Fly-In, “A Salute to Veterans,” at the Darke County Airport is a free event for the public—but it takes incredible community backing to make it happen.

This year, we’re honored to host the Commemorative Air Force WASP Squadron’s T-6 “Nella,” along with an amazing educational experience from the National WASP WWII Museum. These additions will bring history to life and create unforgettable experiences for attendees of all ages.

This week marked significant progress at the airport, with major structural steel installation taking place. The continued development is truly exciting, and we look forward to making this space avilable for use this summer. Progress on the community hangar is moving right along. Crews have been fortunate to have decent weather for foundation work. Structural steel will be delivered to the site in a few short weeks!

🪏✂️Ground has officially been broke for the airports 120’x 100’ community hangar. The project is 100% funded by grant dollars. This space will open the door to so much more opportunity to better serve our local economy and community. We are looking forward to working with Level MB Construction on this project! ✈️✨
