One of the coolest hikes in the park—where the trail itself is part of the museum. Walk through millions of years of geologic history ending at the Wall of Bones.

📍 Length: 2.4 miles round trip (1.2 miles one way)
📈 Elevation Gain: ~200 ft
🥾 Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
⏱️ Time: 30–90 minutes

The trail connects the Quarry Visitor Center and Quarry Exhibit Hall, passing through tilted rock layers and several fossil sites along the way.

⚠️ Bring plenty of water and sun protection. There’s little to no shade on the trail, and the rocky sections can be steep and slippery when wet.
A hike through 149 million years of history. 🌎✨

The Red Fleet Dinosaur Trackway is a great family friendly trail.

In the summer it’s best hiked in the morning with plenty of water.

The trail is a mix of dirt, sand and rock with moderate elevation changes.

The trail is about about 1.5 miles round trip.
