First ever lobster season opener in the books. It’s easy to see why this event has so much hype around it.

The first day after all the honey holes have been refilled over the past 6 months. People buzzing with the chance to grab some 7 pounders, fill their quotas, and get their lobster fix.

The California spiny lobster, while not the most famous of the U.S. lobsters, is cherished for its sweet, prized meat and is arguably the best tasting. Let us know if you agree or disagree in the comments!

T-minus 6 hours till lobster season in California opens. We had to dive down to check the scene in our anchorage. This was just one of thousands of lobster dens just in this area. Needless to say, we’re absolutely frothing

It’s almost that time the year. California spiny lobster season opens October 2nd, and we’re heading out to the Channel Islands for a limited run of 3 day / 2 night expeditions.

Night dives. Remote anchorages. Fresh lobster, scallops, and urchin served onboard. Whatever we don’t eat gets vacuum sealed and sent home with you.

Built for free divers and spearos who know the feeling of pulling dinner from the ocean yourself.
