The Start: The Grand Prix name was started and built by the late Normand LaJoie, other known as "Super Frog" down the road. Normand, who owned and operated Grand Prix Farms and Grand Prix Express, prided himself on a strong, honest work ethic to which he has instilled in his children and grandchildren. Norman and his love for the classic Fords was known throughout New England as he hauled his and
others potatoes and other commodities up and down the highway, lending a helping hand to anyone who may of needed it along the way Later, following in his foot steps was his 2 sons, Gilbert Lajoie and Dominic LaJoie. Who began farming and trucking along their father for a number of years, branding themselves "Hard Runners" in accordance to the special edition Ford Aeromax trucks they had at the time. When the early 2000's came around the boys decided to part ways from trucking and focus on the farm. In 2007, Dom, Gil and Norman's grandson Jay LaJoie, formed a new company, LaJoie Growers, LLC specializing in specialty potatoes and other vegetables. The boys built a business that was set on family pride, honesty, and product diversification which lead to much success. This success lead to the addition of Lucas Lajoie (counsin) and Sky Lajoie (Son of Gil, grandson to Norman), the entrance to more markets as well as a new processing facility. Presently, farming around 1300 acres in the St.John Valley on ground that has been in their family for 5 generations. It was this growth in the farm that the boys realize the lack of transport options in their area, and in the industry as a whole. Deciding to bring the Grand Prix name out of retirement, and started Grand Prix Inc. A company derived off the legacy that their Grand Father had built, posting his old handle "Super Frog" on their Peterbilt tractors, priding themselves in class, integrity and professionalism and bringing it back to the industry.
