Winsel Love has been in the boating business for over 35 years. He started working at his father's business, Valdosta Marine Center, in the mid-1970s. Winsel stayed there until the business closed in the early 1980s. He then went to work in sales and repairs for Don's Boats and Motors. In 2002, the business was sold to A.D. and Alan Holt and was renamed Diamond Eagle Marine. Winsel continued with the Holts and became their "go-to guy." In 2009, Winsel and his wife Tami purchased the business from the Holts and it became "Winsel's Boats." Although the name has changed throughout the years, the constant in the business has been Winsel Love, so it only seemed fitting to rename it as Winsel's Boats.
