We recently received some great build pics from one of our customers from North of the border!! Jerome Beaulieu has just finished his OBS build! This killer OBS, appropriately named “Grinch,” combines classic truck style with modern technology from some of our Dakota Digital components.

Starting with a set of our Metric VHX gauges so he can keep it under the speed limit even when its in KPH!!

The Grinch is equipped with:

MHX-95C-PU-K-W: Digital Instrument System
our Drive-by-Wire Cruise Control Kit along with our Holley BIM EFI Interface and our GSS3000 – Universal Gear Shift Sending Unit

It’s a great example of how the right Dakota Digital components can bring modern functionality to a classic OBS build while keeping the look and personality that make these trucks so cool.

After scoring a pretty clean OBS on Marketplace a few years ago, Brian Wojcik figured he would take it into Scott's Hotrods for a drop and maybe an engine upgrade. But even at the very beginning of the project, he could sense that his seemingly simple plan was going to evolve into something much bigger.

“The most challenging part was wondering how big of a snowball we would end up with,” Brian says. “Originally, it was going to be an LS swap and some suspension work, then it became a chassis, then a cool-looking bed, and more sheet metal work…and it continued to grow.”
