Scott Gulmire has operated a shop in Hancock, WI for many years and has a long history of coming up to the Chippewa Flowage with his family. He is excited to bring his extensive marine, small engine, and power sport mechanic expertise to the Hayward Lakes area and have this chance to call Hayward his new home! Scott’s move is great news for our Chippewa Flowage neighbors since we can once again offer mechanic and repair services at All Mechanical in addition to our ongoing shrink wrapping, indoor and outdoor storage offerings.

January 25, 2024

Today we measured 8” of ice in a couple different areas in front of Deerfoot Lodge & Resort on Trail 18 between Intersection #96 and Intersection #99. Riders have been successfully accessing the lake today at Deerfoot with side by sides and snowmobiles. It is slushy and sloppy. With the temperatures over the next week warming up into the mid-30s and lows at night into the mid to high 20s, we will continue to update conditions.

Lake riding is open on (most of) Chippewa Flowage. Trail 6 into Moore's Bay and up the river channel to Deer Run, and Trail 18 down to the Winter Dam were staked this past Sunday, January 21st, but we have not heard first-hand updates on that section since the warm-up.

For your safety and the safety of others following your tracks - do not ride unstaked trails, always be sure to check ice conditions and bring along safety gear.
