Sea-Shield's Ceramic Graphene formula pairs our nano-ceramic base with graphene technology to build a denser, more resilient barrier than standard ceramic alone. Reality: Surface-dry in an hour is not the same as cured. Dry-to-touch just means the solvents have flashed off the crosslinking that gives the coating its actual protective properties is still happening beneath the surface. Sea-Shield reaches functional, water-impermeable cure at 48 hours, and hits maximum hardness at day 5.
During that window, treat the surface like it's still vulnerable because it is. Zero washing, zero rain exposure if you can help it. Water contact before the coating has fully cross-linked can disrupt the bond before it ever reaches full strength.
Skipping this curing window is the #1 reason a coating underperforms or fails ahead of schedule not product defect, not application error, just impatience with the clock.
Realidad: Que esté seco al tacto en una hora no significa que esté curado. Seco al tacto solo indica que los solventes se evaporaron el proceso de reticulación (crosslinking) que le da al recubrimiento su verdadera capacidad protectora sigue ocurriendo por debajo de la superficie. Why does your yacht still look dull after waxing?
Wax doesn't correct a surface it covers it. On gel coat hulls (15–70 ft) with real oxidation, the step that actually corrects is Cut & Polish #2. Worked in sections, with the right pad and controlled speed, it's what restores true clarity not a temporary shine.
Some surfaces need more. When gel coat is badly burned or neglected, Cut & Polish #2 won't cut deep enough on its own. That's when Heavy Cut #1 comes in a professional-grade compound reserved strictly for severe cases, never for routine maintenance, and never on marine paint (Alexseal, Awlgrip, DuPont).
