1630 will be pulling trains all 3 days this weekend. Come on out and ride behind our 99 year old locomotive!

Steam returns to the Illinois Railway Museum this weekend with the official 2017 debut of Frisco "Decapod" 1630. The locomotive is 99 years old this year and is in better shape than ever, thanks to maintenance and restoration work done by museum volunteers over the past few years. The "Decapod" is scheduled to run all three days of Memorial Day Weekend.

This past Saturday we started "Winterizing" 1630 for the season. This included running her on compressed air to blow all the remaining water out of her.
