I didn't make this party top, but a customer brought it to me to repair several of the velcro closure straps. They were originally made with 2 layers of sunbrella, and they also velcro to a metal slats, so they were ripping right through. I made new ones but I sandwiched a piece of dacron in-between the 2 layers. It will still match the others this way, but add a whole lot more strength! These covers are huge, heavy, and hard to work with but we got it done AND we managed to get it folded back up into a ball for easy transport.
