✅ UPDATE ON BALIKBAYAN BOX DELAYS
Metro Box Cargo Advisory

Dear Valued Customers,

We’re happy to share a positive update regarding the recent delays in balikbayan box deliveries.

📦 All of our containers have now been cleared by the Bureau of Customs (BOC). This means they are now awaiting delivery to our Metro Box Manila warehouse for unloading and sorting.

🚛 As per BOC’s procedure, container delivery from the port follows a first-in, first-out system. While we wait for the remaining containers to arrive at our warehouse, please be assured that:

🟢 We are doing our absolute best to expedite the entire process from the delivery of containers, to unloading and sorting at the warehouse, all the way to final delivery to consignees.
🟢 As soon as each container arrives and is unloaded and sorted, we will immediately dispatch the boxes for delivery.
🟢 We continue to coordinate closely with BOC and port officials on a daily basis.
🟢 As always, we will message and call your consignee first before delivery, following our SOP.
🟢 Every box remains fully accounted for, tracked, and handled with care.

Update on Balikbayan Box Delays – Metro Box Cargo

Dear Valued Customers,

Since 2013, Metro Box Cargo has proudly served the Filipino community with reliable, secure, and heartfelt service. For the first time in 12 years, we’re facing an unexpected challenge — and we want to be completely transparent with you. We want to inform you that some balikbayan box deliveries to the Philippines may experience delays due to new government-mandated clearance procedures.

Due to a recent incident involving illegal drugs found in balikbayan boxes from another company, the Philippine Bureau of Customs and PDEA have implemented 100% inspection of all incoming containers. This affects all freight forwarders, including us at Metro Box Cargo.

🔴We are not involved in the incident that led to the inspections.
