Lord willing, Myrtle is heading for a trip out west. The plan is to visit 7 National Parks. That being said, we don’t know where we will end up. The only plan is to be back the first week of May. The rest is just details. Prayers appreciated.

A wonderful group of “kids” camped next to us. As they were setting up camp they placed their tent in natural trough behind us. I’m one that wants to be a dad to everyone and warned them of rain and it might flood them out. They were very thankful for the warning. Myrtle recon award from them.

We haven’t posted in a while so I want to get everyone up to date. Our daughter became pregnant and had a beautiful little girl. Grandma wanted a place for her to spend the night so we purchased a mobile home. We planned a couple more trips south for the winter, but for medical and other reasons we didn’t go. We had to replace the exhaust treatment filters that became clogged. That was almost $9000. Big motors require big expenses. We’ve made a few trips into Northern Michigan and are currently in Manistee. It amazes us on the interest people have about Myrtle. Just this weekend we gave 5 tours. Not everyone is thrilled when we pull into a park. On woman said, “I can’t believe what they allow into this park”. I smiled and thought, like people with haughty attitudes. Cindy took a turn at driving Myrtle. She doesn’t mind driving on straight roads. With another grandchild on the way, we don’t want to be gone for months anymore. We want to be around to watch them grow and be a short distance away for baby sitting and overnights. Even at our age, priorities change.

We've had a cold snap for a couple days. It's getting into the 20's at night. Too cold for the heat pumps to work so we have been heating with propane. We won't stay above freezing at night until Wednesday. Stoll have sunshine. They are having blizzard warnings back home.

Out of everything that we rely on living on the road, wireless data is the toughest to obtain. I’m talking about tethered data. This is the data you use for things like computers, streaming, and other data by devices connected to the phone. Right now we have 50 GB of data a month. That runs out about 8 days into the billing cycle. I’ve added another 100 GB with a T-Mobile hotspot. Unfortunately Skylink, the satellite data network, is not available in the corridor that we travel in. So, if you want to live on the road and you use a lot of data, your options are limited. Unlimited data is limited in that they slow the network speed down. So slow that it’s like trying to suck a pea through a straw.
