We are now accepting new members for our year-round, hands-on advanced robotics and STEAM program!
Students (aged 13+) will learn to solve real engineering challenges in a supportive, team‑based environment, alongside knowledgeable university mentors.
Here's what they'll get up to:
Design & Build - Learn the engineering design process, from CAD to assembly, with the help of the Lakeshore FIRST Robotics machining facilities!
Programming - Code in Python to control autonomous & driver-operated robot functions
Event Planning - Planning, budgeting, and running or assisting with STEAM events in the local community.
Compete - Take part in two annual FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) events, facing off against teams from across the state and beyond
The FRC program is recognized globally by universities and employers as a top-tier STEM extracurricular. Participants will get a head start on STEM pathways before even graduating high school.
No experience? No problem - we're looking for eager learners who share our passion for robotics. Whether considering careers in engineering, programming, electrical, machining, business, marketing, design, etc., the experience gained is invaluable!
Our Summer Season (Mid-May to August) will bring them up to speed as they learn to design, build, iterate as well as plan and run community outreach events. They'll have something to brag about at the dinner table.
