Sad day. The Sky House just left our driveway for the last time. We had about 18 months of, close to full time, fun. We made two big loops of this country, visited family in all four corners, hit close to 75% of the states, attended a few big RV events, stayed at all different types of Harvest Hosts (wineries were my favorite), and made lots of new friends. Now all that’s left are tons of pictures and awesome memories, unless you want to count the garage full of RV stuff. Paying for two moms in memory care now pulled us off the road for awhile, but one of these days, we’ll be back!

Did a little kayaking on Saguaro Lake with one of our sons. If you haven’t driven out to the string of lakes east of Phoenix, you might want to add them to your list. They are beautiful. Saguaro is the closest, but I think Canyon Lake is our favorite. The dirt road up to Roosevelt Lake is a white knuckle nail biter of a drive, but it’s so beautiful.

We’re coming off the road for awhile while we get established in our new home base. AZ has been home for most of our lives but we moved away 8 years ago for work. Our Sky House will get some rest and warranty repairs now. In the meantime we’ll post some of the things we’ve missed sharing along the way. I have to say, it feels really good to call AZ home again!

Just ending our stay at Coachella Lakes RV Resort. It was a great stay as resorts go! Several small lakes for fishing, lots of green spaces, mini golf, long perimeter walking trail, two pools, clubhouse, two laundry facilities, fitness center, well groomed sites and a big JJ approved dog park. They take excellent care of the property. The owner and employees were always waving and friendly. It’s a fairly new resort and close to 1-10, Indio and the Palm Springs area. You might want to check it out!

I’m behind in our adventures, so a little catching up now. Here are a few more pictures from our stay at Alamo Lake State Park. The nearest little town is 38 miles away, so be stocked up on groceries before you go. The market there was smaller than a convenience store.
