Good morning! Our fire inspectors are hitting the streets today to begin our annual 4291 defensible space inspections.
These routine checks help protect homes and properties in our district by ensuring properties meet California’s defensible space requirements — the same standards we help CAL FIRE enforce. You may see our uniformed inspectors walking around neighborhoods, checking vegetation clearance, and providing guidance where needed.
✅ This is completely normal and expected every year.
✅ Our goal is wildfire preparedness, not citations.
✅ We’re here to help you make your property safer.
If an inspector visits your property, feel free to ask questions — they’re happy to explain what they’re looking for and how you can improve your defensible space.
