I have been USDA certified since 2011 as well from the state of Texas. I started as a volunteer transporter back in 1998 with a local organization in Alabama. I carried a few animals for them over a few years. Then I moved several times, and each time I did, I found some local rescue to do a few transports for. Then in 2011 my other half lost his job, That's when I hit the road as a paid transport
er. It didn't take long to establish a good reputation as a dependable, reliable, safe, and discreet animal ground transporter. I have plenty of good references and happy customers both from rescues and breeders. Feel free to text me at listed phone number for more information or references. I use a minivan (minus seats of course) to do my transports. I am only USDA certified to transport domestic pets, no exotics. I drive to 45 states. I do not go to Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island. I also do not go into ANY of the NYC burroughs. I am willing to meet anyone outside the city, however. There's a Walmart in Union, NJ or the Grover Cleveland service area on the nj turnpike. All animals must have a valid health certificate to cross state lines. I require a collar on all dogs older than 17 weeks. I walk all dogs regularly during transport, as long as they are over 17 weeks old and have proof of complete vaccinations. All puppies and dogs with no vaccinations do not come out of crates until they are delivered. I do feed/water regularly, and the ones that cannot get out I clean the crates and use either puppy pads or wood shavings, also cleaned out regularly. I ask for enough food the animal is currently eating to be sent with him/her to last the ride, but if none is available I keep a bag of puppy food and a bag kitten food on hand. I supply my own crates, but if you are sending one with your pet, please let me know upon first contact so I can have space available. For cats I use crates large enough to have a small litter box in it, and I use scoopable litter. In the interest of safety, cats do not come out of crates until they are delivered. I cannot guarantee delivery dates, but I do not take an excessive amount of time to deliver animals after pick up. I get them where they are going with as much speed and efficiency as possible. I stay in contact with all parties involved via text message during the trip. I am available 24/7 via text. If I am asleep or in an area with no cell coverage, I will reply as soon as possible. I sleep in the van with the animals. I do not leave them alone for long periods of time. As long as I am in the van I can keep the heat or a/c on as needed. If I am comfortable, your pet will be as well. For my protection and that of the animals I am transporting, my constant traveling companion is my dog (Slim Shady). He rides in the front passenger seat, and I take precautions when handling other animals so there is no interaction between them or with my own dog. I do not mix animals in crates. If I pick up one puppy or one cat from you, that animal is alone in their crate the entire trip. If you want more than one animal to ride together, please inform me upon first contact. I clean and sterilize crates between animals. Rates are based on distance, and with gas prices soaring, my rates are variable depending on location and distance. I need city/location of pick up and delivery to give a price. Whatever the price is, I also do half off for each additional animal going/coming from same locations. I do transport year-round, but I try to do minimum travel in the far northern states between December and March. For any questions or information I have not covered, please text Becca 903-441-5549
edited to add: I currently drive a small bus instead of a minivan, and I also have an addition to family, a grown lab mix to keep my pitbull company. They are always crated when I walk other dogs and when I have aggressive dogs transporting as well. [email protected].
