Vector Transport Vector Transport 30 years ago, Vector Transport started with a list. As a longtime shipper and carrier, Joe knew the pitfalls of the business firsthand.

Two lists, actually, in which Vector President Joe Estess wrote down everything he hated about working with freight brokers. So when a trusted employee asked him to go into the brokerage business, Joe explained what was wrong with the industry from both perspectives. His shippers list said:
Brokers don’t care about my business. This is just a load to them, but it’s my livelihood. They’re never aro

und on weekends or after hours when things go wrong. Not interested in service; they just want my money. His carriers list:
If a confirmation number or address or other information they gave me is wrong, I can’t unload on a weekend because I can’t reach them. They pay too slowly—60 days or more—if they pay at all. Nothing is in writing, so agreed-on rates often change on their whim. Joe and the original Vector team took every item on the negative lists and reversed them to form Vector’s mantra, mission, and organizing principles.

Jenna has been with Vector Transport for four and a half years and is a valued member of our Carrier Support team!

We asked Jenna a few questions about her time here at Vector.

What is your title at Vector?
-"Carrier Support (official) and Ray of Sunshine for my team (unofficial)"

What's a fun fact about yourself or can you tell us about a recent accomplishment?
- "I have won a few awards in my time being here, but my favorite one is Top Producer for Carrier Support. Fun fact, I am an amazing singer and my teammates really enjoy when I serenade them."

What do you enjoy about being with Vector?
- "Talking with dispatchers and drivers from all over the U.S and also working with 'The G.O.A.T.', Shane Smith."

What does teamwork mean to you?
-"Teamwork to me means everyone in the room coming together, no matter what the task, to get the job done efficiently and effectively."

Why should clients work with Vector?
- "Because they get to talk with me and deal with my wonderful personality, but they also get a team here ready and willing to help with any issue and provide the best service possible."
